Corey Hines - Chief Executive Officer 

Corey Hines was educated at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in Power engineering and process technologies. Has worked in Canada and New Zealand in Process Technologies in both the Oil and Gas Sector and the Food Oil processing industries. He studied in Information Systems (a believer in lifelong learning and personal development) while in New Zealand and moved to Tokyo working for Exodus Communications of Santa Clara California and supported their global network of Data Centres  as a system engineer, for the Network Operations Centre in Shinjuku. Mr. Hines is a graduate of the Harvard Owner President Management Program (OPM) and finished OPM50 in 2019.

The Hines Family of companies started in Canada in1986. Launched as a Sanitation company servicing commercial clients in western Canada. Corey has been the CEO of the Hines Group of companies since 2007.  His diverse background allows him to direct the group of companies in developing new ways to apply chemistry, and services with innovative advantages over the competition. The diverse nature and decades of client retention serves as a testament of the quality of services and products we continue to deliver to our clients.

 

John Hines - Vice President & Director of Business Development

John Hines studied aeronautical engineering at Southern Alberta Institute of Technology and briefly worked in the industry before going on to study Theatre Arts in southern California where he obtained his degree. He began his career in the film & television industry as a writer, director and producer of documentary, news and live sport events. 

In 1986 he started part time supporting the family commercial maintenance business by learning hands on every aspect of janitorial, HVAC and building envelope repairs. In 2009 he took the helm of the Hines Commercial Operations as President and  expanded the services  and projects requested by the clients to serve all of Alberta. With the merger in 2020 John assumed the VP responsibilities and focused on expanding the legacy through our Business Development team.

 

Ola MuniakChief Operating Officer for Canadian Operations

Ola has built her experience working on diverse project portfolios including industrial, oil and gas, government and commercial facilities, managing operations, strategic planning, and process management  She is a certified Facility Management Professional (FMP) with the International Facility Management Professional Association working as Chief Operating Officer of Operations for Canada with Hines Facilities Services.

Ola brings 14 years of consolidated experience in Facility Maintenance and Management combined with her experience in construction management, safety and risk management, and operations process design. As part of her commitment to sustainable business practices and environmental solutions for Facility Management,  Ola has successfully led the organization in obtaining ISO9001 and CIMS with honours certification. As part of  her aim for operational excellence, she is currently continuing her education in her Lean Six Sigma Certification.

 

Curtis Dylke, CPA, CA - Chief Financial Officer 

Curtis Dylke graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Commerce degree and worked in a national accounting firm to obtain his Chartered Accountant designation.  After working in the public accounting firm, he joined a distribution company in a management role and was responsible for overseeing the branch accounting, operational budgeting and the implementation of new warehouse centres.  In 2007, he started his own public accounting firm focused on owner managed business assisting in tax planning, projections and year end financial statements.

 

Kyle ScottVP Legal Affairs

Mr. Scott has been a lawyer for 30 years, graduating with both his Law Degree and M.B.A. from the University of Western Ontario in 1991 and being called to the Bar in Alberta after his Articles at a large Calgary firm. 

Having worked in a variety of legal settings from sole practitioner to large national law firm. He was Vice-President and General Counsel of FutureLink CorpCalifornia-based company which is credited for developing “cloud computing” back in 1999-2000; and  as a senior lawyer and head of regulatory affairs for a large Canadian integrated oil sands company.

Kyle  has operated his own legal practice since May 2013, which he named “Craft Law Group” in 2016. Craft Law specializes in serving as “contract general counsel” for mid-size “early stage / growth” clients. His  legal experience has mainly covered oil and gas, environmental, regulatory, securities, corporate-commercial, contracts and employment law. Mr. Scott has served as a Director or Senior Officer of a number of corporations, including both TSX-V and NASDAQ  listed public companies. 

Dan Devine - Director of US Operations for HFS & COO for SurfaceTeck Inc.

He has successfully founded and developed a number of high profile companies in the fields of entertainment, sports, healthcare, software and IT. He has served on numerous boards and worked as a strategic business partner with several fortune 500 companies such as GE, Dell, Microsoft, and the United State Military. 

He was the founder and CEO of Streamline Holdings Inc. for 11 years where he grew the multidivisional organization before being privately acquired. In 2014, Dan was brought on board as COO of Alpha Warrior LLC, to spearhead its corporate restructure and was instrumental in assembling a strong corporate team while building a multi-million-dollar global brand, products & services worldwide.
