Water Mitigation

Hines Facilities Services specializes in water mitigation projects and has had the opportunity to design and install a number of very successful water engineered projects in Calgary over the past two decades. These projects included major condominium complexes where rain storms resulted in underground and field flooding after an event. The design of unique trench weeping corridors and a dry well construction eliminated the problem. Another unique project called to remedy a flooded parking lot and sports field that flooded after every rain event.

After the trenching and build outs of drainage channels the project carried all water runoff from the building away underground to drain in a water retention pond. Hines also engineered and implemented an insulated foam constructed solution where a downtown highrise encountered flooding through the plenum which in turn was flooding out a clitical financial serveroom.
